Please join me for a tantalizing conversation on all things romance comics!!! This will be your chance to ask all those questions you have been dying to have answered about the prettiest genre in comic books -- and in real time!!! Hope to see you there!

ReplyDeleteThis will ruin our 2-Dimensional relationships, Jacque ! It sounds like lotsa fun; give us a reminder as the event draws near.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! Very cool!
ReplyDeleteSounds exciting! Congrats!

Thanks, guys! Join us if you can! I will be sure to put a reminder out before the chat session!
ReplyDeleteThis has nothing to do with your post, but I couldn't find a "contact me" section, so I figured I would post this info here.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if you're aware or not, but the DC Showcase released last week, Secrets of Sinister House, contains a number of gothic romance tales. In fact, the first four issues were called The Sinister House of Secret Love, and they contain full-length stories by a number of talented ro-co creators. My personal favorite, of course, is issue 3's "Bride of the Falcon," a 36-pager written by Frank Robbins, inked by Frank Giacoia and penciled by my all-time favorite, Alex Toth.
Thanks for your great blog!
Jacque: Here I am, waiting patiently with hands folded, for the afore-mentioned "Best Kiss" compitetion. HelLLOO! -- Mykal
ReplyDeleteAnonymous: Thanks for the heads up! It is worth it for the Toth story alone! :) In the future, feel free to contact me at my full name at yahoo dot com.
ReplyDeleteMykal: I appreciate your patience! This week was a bad one for me, hence the lack of posts... I had an unfortunate battle with a Kidney Stone -- luckily, I won! I have decided to do the "Best Kiss" competition for the 100th post, so just hang tight for a couple more days! In the meantime, I will have some Night Nurse #3 for you later today!!!
Jacque: A kindey stone. Ouch! all is forgiven. In your own time! -- Mykal
